I started working in digital advertising industry more than a year ago. When I started off, the large part of my first year was spent building a unique set of skills by specializing in search engine algorithms, content strategy and digital analytics.
I believe in the power of data analytics. Beyond that, I am also very intrigued by systematic data-led approaches to creative execution. I know it’s starting to sound cliche but this is the only way to sustain any advertising/marketing strategy for decades to come.
On a day to day basis, I am in charge of making sure the strategy and implementation of our agency’s SEO client projects are on track. I am also always experimenting with new approaches to SEO, be it testing things out on this blog or incorporating user experience ideas and principles into how we approach optimizing for users.
Writing is one of the hobbies that has stayed with me for the longest time. It all started with a commitment to improve my English almost a decade back. Over time, it has become one of the few activities that would help me calm my mind, recollect my thoughts and express my passions.
I also read a lot, although not as much as I’d like to. I’d make it a point to read at least 1 – 2 hours daily even on busy days, to mainly ensure I am in the know of things that matter to me. Topics such as emerging consumer technology, gadgets, tech start-ups, psychology, data analytics could occupy me for hours on end on my Nexus 7 on any given day.
Music plays a huge role in my life – to the point where I couldn’t go through a day without it. I’d have my Spotify playlists pumping fresh EDM every single day whether it’s at home, at work, or during commutes to and from work.
Some of my favorite DJs/producers include Martin Garrix, Hardwell, Nicky Romero, Deadmau5, Wolfgang Gartner, Daft Punk, Kaskade, etc. You can check out my Spotify EDM playlist below:
